Meet Mill Pond

Mill Pond began, quite simply, as a small operation established for the sole purpose of releasing records that I like. After honing my skills in the Sub Pop Records legal department while I was in law school, I decided it was time for me to join the fray. After a handful of releases and a move down the coast we're still making it happen. Mill Pond has slowly but surely grown and due to the fact that the artists play such an important role in the success of the label we consider New York, Seattle and San Clemente home. Currently there are no year-end projections or elaborate marketing plans to dilute the process. That being said, there are some quality records on the way and I hope when you receive a Mill Pond release, you will know it comes from the heart.

There is an enthusiasm and vision for Mill Pond that I hope becomes increasingly evident to listeners with each project I support. I will continue to release records indefinitely. Whether that means there will be another release in a month or six months all depends on whether I discover something that merits the time and devotion that releasing a quality record requires. However, if anything is certain it is that these days there is no shortage of optimism at Mill Pond.
